Charged by both companies in Energy switch

Hi everyone, I'm looking for help with a supposed debt from past energy company which we don't owe as already with and paying new company. We thought this was supposed to be regulated?

Short answer - you can only consume a unit of electricity, as a product, once. Further you can only consume units supplied by one supplier at a time.

Your writing is incoherent but it would seem you are now being asked to pay for the same units twice. One of the conditions of contract with both suppliers is the production of accurate bills.

So, if I was in your shoes I would throw the ball back to both of them and demand that they both manage this between them so as to produce an accounting showing what each states are the actual units supplied by both.
