  • Letter of claim-30 days to prevent legal action

    Hi
Ive received a letter from Lowell Solicitors for an old E.ON energy bill of £293 from 2013..I live on a holiday park and use my brothers address as a postal address, I'm not on electoral role there either as I travel abroad quite a bit. As its my brothers address I really don't want anyone knocking down his door, I live in another area of the country so don't pick up any letters from him that often, there isn't usually many as I do everything online...Basically before moving into the caravan on the holiday site I was renting a flat and thought id cleared all outstanding debt(which I still believe I have) ..do you think I should just pay the money or shall I ask them to basically prove that I owe that money...Any help or advice is appreciated.
    Many thanks
    Bev
