Hi all.
Im new to Legal Beagles and was wondering is I could get a bit of advice.
My partner and I are being taken to Small Claims Court by a company called Vehicle Control Services Ltd for a PCN that we challenged. The car in question had cloned our licence plates and had been racking up tickets all over Birmingham (We live in London). We gave VCS ltd all the requested evidence and information on this.
Even after we had sent them the requested evidence, they sent us to two debt collectors and we have been contacted by their solicitor, BW Legal. All of these companies have closed their cases in our favour after we sent over the crime reference number that we attained from our local Met police station.
We have been dealing with this since December 2016 and now they’ve sent us to small claims court! We have responded to the court with an appeal and they accepted this and recommend mediation. But it sounds like mediation means we are willing to compromise and we definitely are not!
We honestly don’t know what to do. It just feels like every time VCS ltd hire a newbie they tell them to have a crack at us!
Any help would be very much appreciated.
