Hi Can someone please advise me.
I currently live on my own and take advantage of the 25% reduction in council tax for single occupancy . My girlfriend currently lives in a flat with her children aged 27 and 23.
She wants to move in with me but the kids want to stay in the flat but she does not want to let the flat go incase things don't work out with me and she will be homeless. she also needs to keep a roof over the head of her children who don't want to move in with me.
My question is if she moves in with me can she be named on both council taxes or do I not put her on mine , as she is on her own council tax ?
We don't know how to go about it.
I would appreciate some advice please.
