Hi Naf, i get what you're saying, i think the problem may be as Des said, you have to prove the fault was there at time of delivery or manufacturing error which i'm guessing would be hard to prove. I'm just saying, if they did accept rejection then they would charge for usage which could amount to a lot for 39k on the clock, if they didn't then you could end up with a lot of costs.Just something worth thinking about before you take next step. Let us know which way you go and how you get on.

You will probably have difficulty proving the creaking was caused by a problem that was present at the time of delivery.
Failure of the items you mention could be put down to wear and tear.
The most likely cause will be water and grit ingress from the road penetrating the bearing, causing rust and corrosion.Water ingress also comes as a result of jet washing under the wheel arches, where water can get into the bearings, which again can lead to failure. Freezing conditions are also a problem if there is water penetration, as this will cause damage to the bearings.

It is easy to say you can initiate court action, but you will probably be up against a solicitor.
Don't underestimate how stressful that can be if it is your first foray into the law.
There is no certainty that you will win as small claims is a bit of a lottery
Even if you win, you will probably lose financially as you can only claim limited fixed costs.

I can only recommend you accept the free repair offer
