  • Family Court - HELP!

In need of some advice and like the majority of us, can’t afford legal representation.

Ongoing CAO which ex partner applied for - Court have failed to provide me with notices or orders this effectively leaving me breaching several orders for supervised contact between my child and ex partner.

local authority finally got in touch with me to advise still ongoing and I attended a hearing last week. Judge was very stern accusing me of deliberately ignoring orders however ‘gave me the benefit of the doubt’. Ordered a section 37 report and advised next hearing is with a circuit judge. Should I be worried about this??

my ex is very coercive and I did raise an allegation of historical sexual abuse years ago. Ex partner asked the judge if he can prove this was a lie (unproven by police but not a lie) will I be punished. The judge advised there could be a change of residency which sounded huge alarm bells for me.

since this hearing I have contacted social services and actively promoted contact, advising that now I’m aware of the situation I want to do what’s best for my child, and that historical events shouldn’t bear relevance on contact, so long as it is conducted safely.

i need advice - is being heard by a circuit judge serious, if I’ve promoted contact (albeit after allegedly Breaching orders) will historical events be looked into? I am besides myself now and just want this whole matter dealt with.

    thanks
