Your insurance policy will be declared void on 12 July 2019.
If your policy is declared void you will have an obligation to inform any future insurer that you have previously had a policy cancelled or declared void. This may present you with issues when you attempt to purchase motor insurance in the future.
Voiding this policy means we will be treating this policy as if it never existed, therefore we will not pay any claim that has or will be made under your policy.
We will share all relevant details with the UK’s Fraud Prevention agencies and may share information about the inconsistencies on your policy with other financial services companies and public organisations.
If we determine a deliberate misrepresentation has occurred on your policy we reserve the right to file your details to the Insurance Fraud Register. For further information please visit the IFR website www.theifr.org.uk/en.
We will inform the Motor Insurance Database that your policy is no longer in force. Your car must have continuous insurance or be declared off road to avoid a fine or prosecution and it is your responsibility to ensure cover is arranged elsewhere.
In accordance with the Road Traffic Act 1988, if your policy is declared void you must immediately return or destroy all copies of the Certificate of Insurance relating to your policy (whether held in paper, electronic, digital or any other format).
