  • Litigant in Person-what costs are you entitled to?

    Hi, I am a LIP and in the process of completing a schedule of costs. Can anyone please confirm the rate I can charges and what other expenses am I entitled to.

    Is this small claims track? Travel (45p per mile? ), parking, lost wages capped at £95 per half day. If you are allowed to claim for time spent then £19 per hour

      Thank you. It is Fast Track.I actually live in Spain and I have to travel to UK for hearings. Can I claim for travel?

            As claimant you are a witness and as such can claim travel costs.
            However as a litigant in person you may be allowed your costs for attending court.
            You may not claim the cost twice.

            CPR 45 details the fixed costs (fast track sec 37 onwards)
