Stamp Duty questions

Hi All, This is my first post and not sure if these type of questions are answered here.

Could I transfer a property in my name (no mortgage) to my wife's name without paying stamp duty? Will the situation be any different if my wife already owns a property in her name?

You do not have to pay SDLT or file a return if no money or other payment changes hands for a land or property transfer
