  • Buying a house for Mum

I want to buy a home for my Mum near me. She has chosen a flat in an over 55's housing complex, but I am unable to purchase the property, it has to be in her name. My mum is 87, presently lives in social housing and does not have the means to buy the property. I do and am happy to do so, I will not be charging her rent etc but would like the money back when she no longer needs the accommodation. Would it be appropriate to put a charge on the property? Are there any other ways of ensuring that I would get the cost of the flat back when she no longer needs it?
