  • MET Parking Charge Notice with POPLA Code (Gatwick McDonalds)

Hi, I have received a letter from MET about an overstay at McDonalds Gatwick which I contested and asked for a POPLA code. They have since sent me a POPLA Code

I have seen a template on another thread from 'Captain Slack' to contest the issue of a POPLA Code which was also issued at McDonalds Gatwick for an overstay.

Please could you let me know if I can use the same template, as per attached, or do I need to make any changes?

Any help/guidance would be gratefully received!

    Hi & welcome to LB.

If I were you I wouldn't hold out too much hope re the POPLA appeal either.
These 'independent' appeals services are pretty much in their death throes due to the new Parking (Code of Practice) Act
which was passed earlier this year.
However, we still are awaiting the new Code of Practice, so imho the old regime is making hay while their sun still shines.

It would be unwise to comment whether or not the templated POPLA appeal is ok without seeing the notice to driver/notice to registered keeper.
Any chance you could post up redacted pics? (Leave all times/dates visible.)

Hi, and apologies for the late response, but I have now uploaded the MET POPLA letter (and the original letter)

      Many thanks

So the POPLA appeal, using the code given, is to point all the missing statments that are required by POFA to hold the keeper liable, like 9 (2) (f) and any other that you can find
