Hi there hope everyones well. Im having issues with bristow and sutor. I owe 895 from last year's council tax which I accept and want to pay back. I've offered 150 four weekly and they have refused say they wany 275 which I can't afford without falling behind with this year's bill. I've emailed the council explaining our situation but haven't heard nothing back yet.

In theory there is no requirement for them to accept an agreement for anything other full payment however, unless they have access to goods, they are very limited in what action they could take.

If they have not been in to the property and there is no likelihood of them getting access to your goods then I would suggest simply paying the £150 to them regardless. In most cases the agents will not take further action, even if they could, where payment is coming in at a reasonable rate. At the very least payment of any amount reduces the outstanding balance.
