Hi all, hope somebody can help. I sold my car to the MOT garage back in August after it failed the MOT. I cancelled my tax/insurance after I sent the log book off. DVLA claim they never recieved this and I have recieved umpteen letters from them demanding money. They have now sent me a letter asking me to go to court etc for this. The garage can confirm I sold them the car in August and are happy to provide a letter confirming this and they even have my surname spelt wrong on all the letters!!

Is this a summons you have received, or a letter threatening court action.

An affidavit stating you posted the slip might be necessary.
