Its to do with false allegations of harassment against my son who is 18 and has been made to sign a caution by the police. This has now stopped him joining the force.

You say he was made to sign a caution.
When he was interviewed by the police was he accompanied by a solicitor?
Was he fully advised of the implications of accepting a caution?
As the process is dealt with administratively there is no formal right of appeal against the caution. What you can do is complain about the way the caution was dealt with and ask the police or the IPCC to investigate this and hope they agree to set it aside. Before setting out on this action it is better to take expert advice to make sure you put your case as strongly as possible. It is not simple and the chances of success are not be great.
If the matter cannot be resolved with a complaint to the police then you will have the option of a High Court judicial review of the decision. However that is expensive, especially if you lose.
