VT my PCP Contract

Hi I’m look for a letter to vt my pcp with Volkswagen Financial Services UK on my Audi A 5 and I have payed my agreed figure In my contract and have checked with the finance company that I have paid enough to vt the car. Do I need to sign and date the letter I’m sending them please help
