I did a job for a client where he promise to buy me land in exchange for my labour. After I did the work he failed to buy me any land. The agreement was not made in writing. What is my legal position?

Did you complete as promised.
I guess your biggest hurdle is the fact that it was made orally.

Aside from the the oral contract that potentially was formed, do you have any evidence relating to it.
