      Hi & welcome

      Could you post up a pic of the PCN? (Front & rear, ID suitably scrubbed but leave all times/dates visible.)

            It states that "we have been advised etcetc..."however there has been no communication with us or them at all...surely their strategy is flawed...

              Has the vehicle hire co contacted you yet?

              (They often have an admin charge, so dig out your agreement & have a look for any term/clause re this. If so, tell us exactly what it states.)

                      This from Enterprise car hire

                      (iv) an administration fee in the range of €/£ 5 to 45 for processing any fines or offences against the Vehicle, Owner, Renter, any Authorised Driver or any other person Renter permitted to use the Vehicle during the Rental Period, unless caused through Owner’s own fault;

                      A private parking charge notice is neither a fine nor an offence.
                      It is a civil claim for alleged breach of contract.

                      Check your T&Cs.

                      Is that letter the only thing you have received from the parking co?

                        No..there was a windscreen ticket...however, as this was my wife who was driving, she apparently (and stupidly)was told by a friend to ignore it,therefore she threw the ticket away...and of course, its now come back to haunt us..

                              Is that notice the only thing you have received from them?
                              What is the date of sending on the letter?
