hi I was addicted to drink as in alcohol and used to sneak a bottle in my bag in my basket as I shopped and went through self service without trace till one day I got stopped and police got called and they then have videos of me 7 other times with me walking out with a bottle , what do you think will happen
Caught shoplifting on camera and they have me 7 times leaving with things in my bag

What did the police say to you ?
I would guess that you will be invited to the police station for an interview.
If this does happen only go with a solicitor.
If you do not have your own solicitor, ask for the duty solicitor to be present.

The presence of CCTV may not be sufficient evidence to prosecute you
You will also probably receive an invitation to pay an extortionate amount to a civil recovery firm. but tat can be ignored.
