Hi there I received a parking ticket today for parking in a car park and not paying. However this happened on the 27th December 2018 and I happened to sell my car the next day. The notice has taken 10 weeks to get to my house. Is this grounds to appeal? Is there a certain time limit on tickets? Also I have parked in this car park quite a few times and I am 100% sure I tapped my card to pay contactless for my ticket. I requested confirmation from the car park that the machine wasn't reported faulty that day and have also requested cctv to prove I did attempt to pay by card. The payment didn't come out of my bank. Is this all grounds to appeal? My parking was only £1!!! Thank you

It does have a bearing on the response.
Btw, was your contact with them in writing?
If so, did you ID the driver?
Your first post doesn't 100% ID the driver, but close. (Do not id the driver. say 'registered keeper' or 'the driver' as necessary.)
