Hi...VT and excess mileage

Hi, using advice from this forum I VT'd my BMW, which was fine. I have no damage claims but do have a Ł1500 excess mileage claim. I sent the first letter but have had a long one back quoting section 100 (1, 4) and insisting I pay. I have read about credit scores being impacted by trying to fight this so I am considering just paying it. If anyone has good advice to the contrary that would be helpful but if not, I have already benefited from the advice re voluntary termination. Thank you!
