  • I got caught shoplifting in asda

About an hour ago I got caught shoplifting from Asda. I’m 13 years old. This isn’t the first time I have done this and I feel so so guilty. They caught me took my name and number then said they would call me. What does this mean. Are they going to tell my parents? Will I get fined? Will I get arrested?

If this isn't the first time then I hope that they do tell your parents and they take some action.

I think you should tell your parents or someone you trust. They will be able to get to the bottom of why you do it and stop it. And help you if Asda take action.

I wonder why they would call you.... do they want a date?
More likely they want to speak to your parents.

I'm more interested in what they did:
Detaining a child is not something to be done lightly.
        did they search you?
did they search your bag or clothing?
if they carried out searches did they ask for your permission?
        how many people interviewed you?
        Was an appropriate adult present?
were you held in a shut room?

How much were the goods worth?
Were the police involved? If not the police will not be taking any action
        You won't be arrested

You (or your parents) will possibly receive a demand for an extortionate amount from some civil recovery firm.
This will sound legalistic and ever so threatening.
        It can safely be ignored
