Gladstone brookes PPI claim

I have recently made a complaint with Halifax through GB. Its currently under review.
I have just rang Halifax and they have took GB off the authority on it. So no more contact will be made with GB.
All contact will go directly to me now. But will i now have to cancel my claim with GB or can i leave it and if its successful will they ever find out?
