  • Form N181

    HI
I am the claimant. The claim concerns building work that is now a total mess. The claim is for £14000 and has, therefore been allocated to the fast track.
I have completed most of the Form N181 but need help in section J.
Also, and more importantly there is a fatal error in the defendant’s statement where a claimhas been made that is untrue.
I intend to make an application to have the defence struck out. But when do I do this - do I still have to complete Form 181

    Hi and welcome
The draft directions are essentially your idea of the timetable required for the items that need to be prepared and provided before the trial. For example a date for witness statements - how long do you think you will need to prepare and provide these?

As you are acting in person the court will most likely provide you with a standard list of directions when they review your directions questionnaire.

You should also send a copy of your form to the claimant. You can ask the Claimant if he/she wishes to agree directions and if so to send a copy of his proposals for you to consider.
