  • Set aside CCJ from parking ticket

Hello, I'm looking for some advice please. I received a parking ticket in the private car park where I live. I have a residents space, not designated and a visitors space, also not designated. I have permits for both. I was in a residents space and my permit had been knocked on the floor so I was given a ticket by Parking & Property Mgt. I ignored it and they wrote to me saying if I didn't pay they were going to take me to court. I then heard nothing more. In the meantime they sent the court paperwork to my previous address so I never received any of it and the next thing I knew I had a CCJ. I have applied for a set aside and have a court date for April 3rd. I received another letter today from a collections company Gladstones have passed my case onto wanting more money. Any thoughts on what I should do? If you think I'll be successful or any tips or advice you can give? Thanks so much.

Hi there, do you have a right to park in your tenancy or lease? If so, then they may have a problem enforcing that as normally leases trump parking contracts
