I have received a court order dated 20th Dec asking for witness statement to be filed and served by 14 December. This is after a hearing in November. Was expecting, on basis of what judge said at the hearing, that the order would give 14 days from date of order; instead it seems to be stipulating 14 days from date of the hearing. Surely the written directions cannot give a retrospective date for compliance? What is best course of action? Thanks in advance.
