About to press the button on a multi-track claim. Just wondered what the £10k issue fee pays for exactly.

Im owed £1.2m, but the court fee is £10,000 just to put the paperwork in. I just wondered what the £10k covered and is it just an insertion fee.

The clue is in the name. The £10k issue fee covers issuing the claim, then there is a hearing fee which for multi-track is around £1,000.

Mine is a complex case so I imagine there will be some other meetings. I wondered if the case management meeting was included in the issue fee.
