  • PCN advice issued at Pier Head, Exmouth.

I recently parked at Pier Head in Exmouth and paid the fee due but unfortunately only entered the last 3 letters of my registration (as most other meters require locally) and received a £100 PCN for not abiding by the terms and conditions. I appealed and the appeal was denied. I have since not paid the fine, and have now received a demand from a debt recovery agent. This seems so unfair, simply for not entering the full vehicle registration :-( Has anyone had a similar experience, and am I best just paying the fine now otherwise will face court action? Any advice gratefully received.

Yep, a common occurrence. Not the first time at this location. Do they know the identity of the driver, simply yes or no? I think the location may be covered by byelaws and hence no keeper liability. Can't remember what happened in the other cases.

    Was this the location?

Edit your first post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred. Use "the driver ......" etc.

Post up the PCN with identifying details redacted but leave dates. Can you get a photo of the conditions signs?
