  • Mercedes VT Excess Mileage

    Hi,
I have recently requested information to VT my Mercedes through MBFS, The settlement figure i was quoted seemed reasonable however further correspondences from MBFS are suggesting that i am going to be on the hook for excess mileage to the tune of 6p net per mile over my agreement, roughly this would cost me £2k in excess mileage? after contracting MBFS they have told me that it is my agreement?
i am little confused as all the info online suggest i shouldn't be charged for excess mileage and i should just ignore it? i don't want to have a black mark against my name?
your help would be very much appreciated.

    Hello

You are correct as to the onlinee views are that excess mileage is not recoverable but did you think that Mercedes were just going to accept your word and not pursue you?

You are talking to the front line people and they don't really care what you have to say, their job is to recover money by whatever means.

Theres plenty of information on here about excess mileage so I'm not going to repeat myself. But if you decide to respond, then you should point out to them that they brought a court claim for excess mileage charges earlier in the year and they lost. That case was Mercedes Benz Financial Services (UK) Limited v Cahalane.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you
