Please can someone offer me some advice.Three& a half years ago we visited a nature reserve with our two young children and the parking meter at the time was not working correctly we went and adked a staff member and they helped us with anither meter and paid our fee.Two weeks later we received a parking fine,i was disgusted as i knew we had paid i contacted the company tellung them we had paid and woyld not be paying again. We did not hear anything again.Niw all that time on they have sent it onto a collection agency Equita, when it arrived we had no idea what is was for so was sueprised when we phoned them and it said it was this parking fine.Again i was angry as i knew i had paid and now all this time on they were still pursuing.I bave have wrote an email to the company telling them we paid on the day and again would not be paying as i had wrote to them at the time. They stated they had had mo contact from us and would be pursuing with the claim.I have said to take us to court then as we have done nothing wrong. We dont really want to ho to court due to our jobs but feel that paying this £110 is crazy when we did avtually pay all that time ago and have no proof to show this? Please can someone help?
