hi id like some advice on the dreaded ppi claim please, as in how my claim has been dealt with. I filled in the ppi form for this company and heard nothing for a while as expected. Then in june I had a text telling me that shop direct were refusing to deal with them but if I heard anything I should contact them. I never heard a thing until the ppi company sent me a letter on the 23 august to say that shop direct had settled on the 10th of august and heres your invoice. I had nothing sent to me from shop direct at this point. From the 23 august to the 24 sept I still hadn't received anything at all. Meanwhile im imumdated with emails calls and texts from this company asking for payment and threatening court action, even though I spoke to them and explained I had nothing. They then gave me the number for shop direct and my claim number. I spoke to them apparently my address was wrong from their end or the ppi company end I do not know and the cheque and any correspondence was sent to wrong address. Shop direct told me they hadn't dealt with the claim company after the initial paperwork was filed, until their issue was solved which ended with them now dealing with the claim company again, but after they had sent the paperwoek and cheque to wrong address, I still had to ring them 3 times after to ask where my cheque was and the phone calls cost me nearly twenty pound. My question is that without doubt I should pay the ppi company but can I ask for a discount as they are taking a hefty amount for what little work they did, and its cost me money to chase it up. Many thanks in advance
