  • Removing Charge from land registry

Hi all, wonder if you could point me in the right direction, or best forum to post this question in. Long story short, our paralegal left suddenly leaving a void so currently trying to wing it until they are replaced. Basically our company had a charging order on someone's property. The debt has been paid as property sold, now need to remove the charge. Googled it, and fairly certain its the DS1 & CN1 forms we need to send, but just looking for confirmation. Looking at past accounts where we removed charges, we have sent DS2 forms, RX1 forms and UN1 forms. Can anyone briefly clarify? Many Thanks in advance!

    Hi Montevideo,
Sorry little confused. When the debt was paid were you not sent a DS1 to complete by the conveyancers acting in the sale, confirming charge settled?

UN1 and RX1 are to place restrictions and make unilateral notices so definitely not either of them. We just need to understand the position a bit more clearly I think to point you in the right direction.

Thanks Peridot. This was a charging order following CCJ, residential property. Conveyancers made payment from the proceeds of sale, and have just asked we contact land reg to remove the charge and email them copies of any forms. Thanks again.
