  • Help - workplace investigation

Ok before I right anything I know how stupid I have been and deserve everything that is happening to me.

So I had stolen cash from my work over a month ago and recently realised that they knew and were going to investigate.

At this time I should add I currently am suffering with depression and feeling suicidal.
So I thought the easiest thing to do was give my confession explain my illness and ask for an immediate resignation.
I also wanted my employers to know how bad I feel and that its making me feel worse and worse everyday.

They accepted my resignation saying they understand my situation and that i need to get help.
but it also said that they were looking to investigate further into other matters.
can they still investigate me although I no longer work there?
I thought my confession would end it and also they the frame of mind that I am currently in.

Again I know I completely messed up, I am just now scared for what is going to happen next
