  • Tesco shop lifting/fine letters

Hi my question is once Tesco catch you shop lifting and let you go they obviously ban you for a year take your club card and take a photo. Also they tell you about a find you receive in the post. So once you ignore all letters as it says on the other forums do Tesco drop it or can they pass all info onto the police to prosecute?

    Hi and welcome
The police will not be involved
Pleased to see you know to ignore the begging letters (not a fine) from DWF
If you haven't yet received the letters you can see what to expect here: http://legalbeagles.info/forums/foru...rs-rlp-and-dwf

So the letters will only threaten legal action but none will ever be taken?? Also what do they do with the photo they take?

None of these "civil recovery" firms have tried court since the oxford case, and I suppose they stick your photo on a board in the staff room.
Perhaps they also throw darts at it!
