Hi I’m new and need some advice on will payments.

hi Iwas wondering how long it takes to settle a will.i was left some by a friend that died in February and received a letter telling me a couple of months ago now. The solicitors secretary told me that it’s nearing the end and to ring back in a couple of weeks, but I’ve been told that it could still take months. What do you think.

Hi and welcome
Depends on how complicated the estate was, but you can reckon on at least 6 months from grant of probate, and several years for a large estate

Hi, agrees with des8, but there is nothing stopping you from checking on this from time to time.
