Hoping for guidance re a delicate matter. I work for a company with more than 80 offices around the world. Technically, I am employed by its Middle East operation; however, I report in to London directly. I am negotiating a separation, and the company has prepared an agreement to be guided by local (Middle East) law. The company's UK management has made several decisions that are forcing my departure. My question: If I sign a separation agreement in the Middle East, can I still take action/pursue damages in the UK? (For background, the company's UK-based management has made several negligent representations and misstatements, and I believe this has caused irremediable harm to my career/knowledge.) Thank you in advance for your guidance.
