I parked my car in a premier car park, paid my ticket, attended an appointment, returned, drove home in plenty of time. The ticket was cheap, it was the first time I had ever parked there. I did notice the number keys to key in were sticking as I keyed my number plate in but I got my ticket. A few weeks later I received a fine, I wrote to tell them that I did indeed pay my ticket but they sent me another fine. I now have a two letters from a solicitor requesting £182.00. On reflection it may indeed be true that my car number plate was not keyed in 100% because of the keys sticking but they should still have the correct amount of money in that machine for that day! Also if this is the case then it probably would only be one digit out, it should have a record inside the machine. What do you think I should do? Help! The solicitors letter does say "Our client MAY consider County Court"

It's a shame you identified the driver. Have they admitted that you actually paid the money?
