    Hi I'm due too go on a dementia training course 6th June from 9.30 till 4.30 I'm down on the work rota that day normally it would of been changed or the training day my manager expects me too goto work straight after and do 5 till 8 of my shift is this legal pls

    Work rota is 2 till 8pm that day plus I wouldn't get there till 5.30 due too traffic I don't drive so be basically working for 2 and a half hours sure it this isn't right

      Sorry but what you are saying is a bit confusing.

      I get that the course is on 6 June and runs from 09.30 to 16.30.

      Are you saying that you are being asked to work after the course from 17.00 until 20.00 and thus complete your shift in addition to the hours you spent training?

      If so what are your employers terms and conditions?

      What I am saying is will they pay you from 09.30 when you started the training until 20.00 when you come off shift?
