  • Redundancy

Hi I'm look for some round advise . My wife has worked for her present employer for 20 year . The premise of the business he has been leasing for the last 26 from the co/o p . The lease is know on a monthly charge as the owners of the building clearing the land for new homes so the business is to cease trading within the next 6 to 8 months . My wife's boss has told her and other staff they will not get any redundancy pay . Would be grateful if someone could give us the correct law on this matter .

Has the boss given any reason why he/she believes that the staff will not be entitled to redundancy pay?
