I parked my car at Jesmond 360 next to the Indian Resaurant two weeks ago to go to the match. When I got there the machine was displaying OUT OF ORDER. I then tried phoning NPS customer service on their premium rate phone line but they were closed. I was going to put a note on dashboard but decided to try and find another machine. This I managed to do which was opposite As You Like It. I paid my £3 got the ticket and put it in the dashboard. After the match I went back to my car and not surprisingly there was no parking ticket stuck on the car and I drove off. Today unbelievably in the post I have received a £100 parking charge notice in the post all the notice shows is a picture of my car entering and leaving the car park and the times. Fortunately I still have the £3 ticket I bought as it was still in the side pocket of my car. This in my opinion is an attempt at fraud and I wonder how many times they get away with it. No ticket was put on my car and I purchased a valid ticket to park so they have absolutely no evidence of any non compliance with their parking regulations. I would like to take the matter further but an unsure what my rights are. Any advice would be appreciated

Edit your post to The driver parked the car, when they got there, they tried to phone etc. Do not identify the driverSorry i'm just thinking out loud, it might be irrelevant, I am not employed in anyway in the legal profession, please ensure you research any advice I give before using it I have been known to be wrong on multiple occasions.

So when did the driver park the car and when did you, the keeper, actually receive the letter in the post? If it's more than 14 days then there can be no keeper liability and if they don't know the identity of the driver then they're stuck.
Ask the driver if the other machine was the same car park
Can you post up the letter you received, the Notice to Keeper, suitably redacted so that you are not identified but leave the dates.
Please edit your first post, use "the driver....."etc. It is important.
