Hi I applied to halifax for any PPI on old loans. They have sent me a letter stating the will pay me £3210 by cheque within 28 days. I am not sure if I paid off one of the loans. It is very old and may have been sold on. My question is Halifax have stated they will send a cheque for this amount within 28 days. Can they then deduct anything owing after saying this? Thanks
