My wife is registered disabled and due to a medical necessity I had to do an illegal U-turn and was caught on camera and was issued a fine by Camden Council. I appealed explaining my wife's physical problems and offered medical evidence to prove this but lost the appeal and the fine was passed to debt company Equita and I was charged £287. This is almost paid off but I still feel my wife was victimised as she needed immediate help and I had no choice but to do a u-turn. Can I re-appeal and claim back the fine or is it too late? Many thanks.
How do I begin to reclaim a fine from Equita?
