    I got stopped today by vosa in my recovery truck, Now 4 years of having my truck on my policy my insurance turned around and said I am not covered to the police, so I've lost my truck the car I had on the back ,this is because I had No MOT on it but it is MOT exempt as its a recovery truck! ! I was insurance when I had a accident in it so what can i do i have Not spoken to them yet !!! This is tradewise insurance and I've been with them for 4 or 5 year with the same truck ,,

    What a rotten Christmas present.

    Not all recovery trucks are MOT exempt.
    Spec lift only trucks are, but only if they are being used correctly.
    Were you actually recovering a disabled vehicle?
    I suppose they got you on a technicality.
    Did VOSA specify why your truck was not MOT exempt?
    What paperwork did they give you?

    No MOT will mean that your insurance is invalid.

    Were you responsible for the accident, or was it the other party at fault?
    Have you already exchanged details with the third party?
