Hi Everyone,
My son and I both have diagnosis and treatment for PTSD, depression and anxiety from living with my soon to be ex for 10 years. We have . received a barrage of continuing harrassment which has all been reported to the police but not taken through CPS . We are both currently unable to work and on ESA as we are taking time out to get help for our symptoms and are thoroughly exhausted most of the time. The long and the short is my husband ruined by business and my health and although I plan to go back to work next year and my son plans to continue his online course post grad - we both need a break until I get my final divorce settlement at which point I plan to pay of his two debts with HSBC,. His overdraft is about £1250 and his credit card is £1400. Not a lot and I plan to pay it all off for him but cant till final settlement. We only have enough to live on and survive at the moment. He doesnt want to get a bad credit rating and credit score so doesnt want to 'come to some arrangement' which would affect this as he will at some point get working and want a mortgage. Neither of us are 'benefits people' and have had to swallow our pride to go on ESA and ask for help. Every time my son starts to get better he gets back down and depressed again each time he receives a statement with charges. Is there anything we can do? It is stopping his road to recovery. We both have had trauma counselling, counselling for my experience of sexual abuse and also both have a domestic abuse specialist and also input from the local mental health outpatients and counselling services. His mental health decline has a knock on affect and effects me when Im starting to get better as well, Any ideas folks ?
