Hi guys I need some advise, friend of mine got caught shoplifting yesterday, she was walking out with pair of gloves from TKmaxx without paying, then she got taken to the room where she was asked to empty her bag and to present her ID she got banned from the shop and was asked to signed the paper, police was not called, instead was told would be contacted by RLP to collect payment from her. She feels ashamed and lucky same time, however I was wondering if anyone had any encounters with RLP? Is this like a debt collection company? and what happens if you don't pay? Can they take you to court?
Can RLP take you to court if not paying?

your friend will probably get letters like the ones shown on this thread ~ http://legalbeagles.info/forums/show...535#post760535 ... but they are all bluff and bluster xxDebt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.
It doesn't matter where your journey begins, so long as you begin it...
