      Thanks for the welcome messages, my problem is, and I hope someone can help.

      I live in a tenement building which was built approx. 1900 there are 12 all owner/occupied flats in it but it is not factored or mainted by anyone.

      It was brought to our notice a few months ago that the whole building needed re-roofing, the chimneys pulling down, gutters and down pipes replaced etc., everyone was agreeable to the repair to begin with but now the time has come when we have the estimates only 10 of the 12 are willing to pay.

      Because there is still a majority there is something in the title deeds that says they must maintain common repairs or something along these lines (Scotland).

      Am I correct in saying this and what do you think would be the best approach.:confused2:
