  • Train fare in court Historical Debt Claim

    Hey guys

A few days ago i received a letter from Historic Debt Management regarding an unpaid court fees, i called them and they said it is regarding TFL fare dodging in 2011. I explained them it was not me and someone might have used my name, i booked an appointment for Stat Dec.
i don't have money to get a lawyer. i want to ask what is the procedure after this. When it was not me who was dodge the fare.

    Thanks,

If you are sure it was not you then Stat Dec is the way to go. You should be invited to attend the Magistrates Court to do this. If the originating Court is a long way from you then they should allow it to be done at one local to you. Just be aware there are serious implications if they can prove it was you.
