  • Ppi with firstplus

We had a secured loan through First Plus. The loan was taken out in 2000 and a lump sum of PPI was added onto the loan. The loan paperwork was completed by us without PPI but came back with PPI ticked and we were told basically that we needed PPI adding for the loan to be accepted?? Now after trying to claim back PPI we were told by First Plus (Barclays who have taken over them) that the loan was through broker Freedom Finance who are unfortunately not trading so there is apparently nowhere else we can go to claim back this PPI. I've got the paperwork there with the PPI documents which show the insurance policy was underwritten by LLoyds. My problem is that although we went to Freedom Finance they passed us onto First Plus and everything we have shows First Plus nothing shows Freedom Finance at all. I am absolutely furious here that everyone just seems to be back healing this - its disgraceful that the loan was set up by First Plus and premiums paid went to First Plus the paperwork we have shows First Plus, in fact everything is First Plus and LLoyds as underwriters. Basically the PPI would never have paid out we both would have received full sick pay from employer and my husband was diagnosed Type 1 diabetic in March of the year the loan was set up so already had a pre existing medical condition which they were aware of but again we were told that we needed the insurance or the loan wouldn't pay out - Who can we go to we have paid a lump sum on this loan for something we are being told we can't claim from anyone - this is genuine miss selling of a policy - Help!!
