  • Problem with posting

for some reason I am having difficulty posting and I can't post in paragraphs. When I press enter the cursor doesn't start a new line - any ideas why and how I can resolve this please?

How odd. Have you tried rebooting, or turning off Sticky Keys?

    I hope this helps.

Yeah yeah. The other commonly used excuses are "it's my mobile phone and not me", and "English isn't my first language"!

keys don't appear to be sticky - I don't remember spilling anything on the keyboard..... I could wipe the keyboard with a flash wipe if that helps?

                Re: Problem with posting

No this is a glitch some users are genuinely experiencing, I had a PM two days ago from someone else with the same problem.

Not sure whats causing it but am investigating. In the meantime, we'll just assume you have poor grammar skills and don't know what a paragraph is
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

The sticky keys were turned off - but still can't start a new row when I press enter. Anymore ideas on what I can try please?

I'm still having issues posting paragraphs and sometimes it doesn't accept my posts either. weird things is it that its only this site - the other forum that I moderator on (I'm an volunteer advisor and support co-ordinator on a website to do with my health issues) is absolutely fine and have no editing issues. Any ideas?

                          Re: Problem with posting

Just changed to the standard editor option in settings and its resolved the issue!!!

At last I can use a paragraph!!

Is there much difference between standard and full setting?

I changed it back to enhanced and the issue has come back - looks like i'm staying with standard editing - any ideas why this is happening?

It depends on the forum software they are using, this forum uses vBulletin 4.1.12, they may be using a different vBulletin version or another forum platform altoghether, there are quite a few around, as well as add-ons and plugins for them.

What browser are you using? A browser update or a newly installed browser add-on could have caused the problem.
