Some forums, if requested, send an alert of new posts on any threads you are involved in.
Is this feasible for this site ? Saves wasted visits if nothing new.

Just bear in mind that you don't necessarily get email notifications for evey post made on a subscribed. There's an algorithm that prevents you getting loads of notifications on a busy thread.

Also in 'subscribed threads' the default listing is alphabetical for some reason, so just hit the 'last activity' option to get them in order of the most recent first.
