Logbook Loans are a nightmare, they loan money to anybody, for any car at ridiculous interest rates (300%+) and if you default they send the bully boys round immediately and wooosh your car has gone as if by magic. Actually, it doesn't even matter if its your car! I have seen one case where a bloke borrowed money off them using his son-in laws car as security and when he didn't pay, they came to take that too!

Doubt they would know a CCA if it jumped up and bit them, think i'd be too scared to borrow money off them, no matter how desperate I was, guys with no neck and dark glasses...........

Ian Spot on & they are not alone.

It doesn't have to be the vehicle given as security either. They have taken vehicles over which they have NO security & which they have been forced to return as a result of court action.

Although I'm not the victim I have seen the order of the court

Moch this is only the tip of the iceberg as there are more ongoing matters involving this firm which, for the time being, cannot be discussed/disclosed on a public forum

                    Re: Log Book Loans

                    Hi All,

I know this thread is from a couple of years ago, but I am trying to contact people who have had bad experiences with logbook loan companies for a current affairs news piece I am working on.

I am a freelance journalist and I would really appreciate it if anyone has any stories about misleading and disreputable logbook loans firms they would like to share with me. All the information will be kept in the strictest of confidence.

Please feel free to pass my details on to anyone who might be interested in talking to me.
